Reality is setting in for many teams around the NFL, as the postseason grows closer and closer. Franchises with losing records are between planning for next year and salvaging their 2018 campaign. As always, the Baltimore Beatdown staff is squaring off to see who can correctly predict the most matchups. Readers can continue to participate by voting in the polls at the bottom of this article.

An analysis of the Baltimore Beatdown staff picks
Consensus winners
- The Panthers rebound from their Week 10 trouncing with a win over the Lions (CAR -4.0)
- The Steelers continue their winning ways against the Jaguars (PIT -5.5)
- The Chargers beat the Broncos in a divisional game (LAC -7.0)
- The Cardinals are victorious over the inept Raiders (ARI -5.5)
- The Saints hand the Eagles their second consecutive loss (NO -8.0)
After giving up 52 points to Pittsburgh last week, Carolina has a much easier task in shutting down Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions who sit in last place in the NFC North and have lost their last three games. For a team that made it to the AFC championship last season, Jacksonville has fallen flat in 2018 and is unlikely to break their five-game losing streak against the AFC North leading Steelers. Lurking in the shadow of the Chiefs in their division and the Rams in their city, the Chargers have won six games in a row. The Cardinals, a disaster in their own right, are fortunate to face an Oakland team that holds the league’s worst record. Philadelphia was defeated in a critical contest against Dallas last week, and the Eagles now must try to stop a New Orleans squad that has not lost since their season opener.
‘Lone wolf’ picks
For the first time in 11 weeks, not a single writer picked against the rest of the staff for any of the matchups.
Can Baltimore resurrect the season?
After the bye week, the Ravens are playing for their season when they host Cincinnati. The Bengals are coming off an embarrassing 51-14 loss to New Orleans and will most likely be without star receiver A.J. Green. In their first meeting, Green account for almost 53 percent of the Bengals points against the Ravens. The Ravens are also fighting injuries, with Lamar Jackson or Robert Griffin III probable to start at quarterback. With Cincinnati also in the wild card hunt, Baltimore (-3.0) has to even the season series in order to keep hope alive; however, only 44 percent of Baltimore Beatdown believes the Ravens will win on Sunday. If they drop their fourth straight game, then a true shake up for the franchise is looming.
