Today includes a long list of injuries for the Ravens. There are ten players on the full injury report list. Left guard Alex Lewis and right tackle James Hurst were not at practice today due to previous injuries. Rookie center Bradley Bozeman (calf) did not participate in practice, either. The rest of the list includes left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (thigh) and Brandon Carr (NIR), linebackers C.J. Mosley (thigh), Tim Williams (ankle), and safety Tony Jefferson (hamstring). A surprise addition was running back Alex Collins who had limited participation at practice Wednesday, due to a foot ailment.
One player that was unexpectedly not practicing today was safety Tony Jefferson, who appeared on the injury report with a hamstring issue. On Sunday, against the Panthers, Jefferson totaled seven tackles.
Another player that was not at practice, but not surprisingly on the injury report, was linebacker Tim Williams, who was wearing a boot in the locker room on Wednesday, according to Jeff Zerebic of The Athletic. He will most likely be held out of the game against the Steelers on Sunday.
The Steelers injury report is half of what the Ravens have. Their injuries include linebacker Bud Dupree (illness), center Markice Pouncey (NIR), safety Cody Sensabaugh (toe) and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, which was a “coaches decision.”
Roethlisberger reportedly has a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand. When asked if Roethlisberger was preparing for the game this week earlier today, coach Mike Tomlin said that he does not “anticipate it being an issue, because it wasn’t an issue in the second half of the game last week.” Last week against the Browns, Roethlisberger went 10-18 for 121 yards in the second half.
Right tackle Marcus Gilbert returned to practice today. Gilbert suffered a knee injury last week and did not participate in the win against the Browns on Sunday.
