For the second-straight week, Baltimore will be without second-year cornerback Marlon Humphrey (thigh) and offensive lineman James Hurst (back). Both players sustained their respective injuries prior to the Ravens matchup against the Saints.
After practicing for two days in a row, Alex Lewis (neck) was held out of practice on Friday. Lewis sustained what seemed to be a severe neck injury against the Titans, was carted off and taken to the hospital. He returned with the team to Baltimore in the same night. Lewis is doubtful against the Panthers.
Conerback Anthony Averett (hamstring) and defensive back Anthony Levine Sr. (hamstring) returned to full participation in practice on Friday. Offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman (calf) who started in Lewis’ place at left guard against New Orleans, was limited. Cornerback Jimmy Smith was listed with a groin injury, but was a full participant. All four are questionable for Sunday’s matchup.
Carolina Panthers
Baltimore will not face off against former Raven Torrey Smith due to a knee injury. Smith has been nursing the injury for the entire week, being held out of practice. Panthers linebacker Andre Smith (hamstring) is also out and will miss his third straight game. Safety Rashaan Gaulden (ankle) is listed as doubtful. Cam Newton (shoulder) has been limited for the entire week, but wasn’t on the final injury report.
