MVP: Defense

Unbelievable. Marcus Mariota didn’t have room to breathe all game. It was like playing Madden on rookie mode with the sliders pushed all the way up for the defensive line. The team produced 11 sacks, two more than the old franchise record.

Stock up

Michael Crabtree — After struggling mightily last week, he responded with three catches on the first drive, including the four-yard touchdown.

Willie Snead — Every single game he’s showed out with a tough third-down catch. He managed to complete a 3rd & 17 today and afterwards got in Kevin Byard’s face to let him know just who made the play.

Javorius Allen — The first drive doesn’t end with a touchdown if they don’t move the chains. Buck kept the drive alive with multiple third-down conversions.

Za’Darius Smith — Dude is going to get paid this offseason. He produced a hat trick in this game and has tallied 5.5 sacks on the season.

Cyrus Jones — Great work on special teams not fumbling the football. Getting a solid return is nice, too.

Alex Collins — Two rushing touchdowns are nothing to scoff at. This team needed a balance, even a scoring balance, and they got it against the Titans.

Lamar Jackson — He’s done his job well when called upon.

Gus Edwards — The UDFA from Rutgers is looking solid. A few good runs keeps him in the playbook.
