For the second time in his illustrious career, Ravens TE Benjamin Watson has earned a finalist nomination for Walter Payton Man of the Year.

As mentioned, this is Ben’s second nomination for the award. In 2015, Watson was a finalist, alongside Anquan Boldin and Eli Manning. In 2015, Anquan Boldin received the award.

This year, Ben Watson was once again recognized for his character, charity and compassion. In fact, he nearly receives a nomination for awards based on character or integrity on a yearly basis. At the beginning of this season, I caught up with Watson for an interview and asked him about his charity, the ‘One More Foundation’.

“. . .so the whole idea behind ‘One More’ is that everybody can do one thing for one other person,” Watson said. “You can do one more thing.”

The full interview can be found here: Ben Watson, “We are to love people and care about people.”
