A few days ago, NFL.com listed Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker and 2017 2nd-round pick Tyus Bowser as a nominee for their NFL.com's Pepsi Rookie of the Week. The other nominees for their Week 2 performances were Kareem Hunt, Chris Carson, Malik Hooker, and Solomon Thomas. Bowser played a big factor in the Ravens 24-10 win over the Cleveland Browns, notching his first NFL sack and interception. The pick set up a Joe Flacco touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin before halftime.
The fans voted, and Baltimore's rookie out of Houston came out the winner in the poll.

Got to admit, it was pretty surprising seeing Bowser edge Kareem Hunt in the voting. Especially since Hunt was once again very effective for the Kansas City Chiefs in their big win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Nevertheless, for Bowser, Baltimore hopes this is the first of many achievements for the teams young rookie.
NFL.com's Gil Brandt believes Bowser is even good enough to potentially win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. There is still a long way to go, but Bowser is certainly off to a good start and is a vital part in the Ravens defense for this year and the future.
