Maurice Canady involved in a car accident Friday afternoon

Thankfully, he’s okay

If there is one thing fans and teams worry about players other than injuries, it's what happens off-the-field. Whether it's an arrest, an accident, or anything of that matter, the hope is they come out of a circumstance okay. We've seen things that have happened away from the game end a players career, like former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Gabriel Rivera. His career ended after only one season after a car accident that left him paralyzed.

Sadly, it even ends in tragedy to such players like Corey Lidle, Thurman Munson, Roberto Clemente, and Jose Fernandez. The Baltimore Ravens just recently suffered the loss of Tray Walker last year, after he collided with a vehicle while riding his dirt bike in Miami, Florida. Walker past away the next day, from head injuries he sustained during the accident.

On Friday afternoon, Ravens cornerback Maurice Canady was in a car accident after a driver ran a stop sign and collided with Canady's vehicle. Canady is okay, and he posted the pictures of the accident on his Instagram account.

As Canady even said in his post, he got lucky, and this could've ended worse. His family, friends, teammates, fans, and Canady himself are all happy he's okay, and came out of this accident with no serious injuries.
