Ravens to play both linemen they traded for in the hours before final roster cuts

Before the final rosters were set, the Baltimore Ravens made two trades for offensive lineman. Two draft picks (one disclosed, the other a conditional 7th-rounder), for Luke Bowanko and Tony Bergstrom, to the Jaguars and Cardinals, all respectively.

Now, they’re both suiting up for week one against the Cincinnati Bengals.

A little bit of a surprise, as Jermaine Eluemunor is inactive for today’s game, meaning these men received the nod over the rookie. It’s not shocking though, Jermaine is a little raw and the Ravens want to work him into the position, rather than feed him to the flames.

This may be a competition as both play center, though the two also play interior roles. With Ryan Jensen in the mix, there’s no telling exactly where these three linemen play in their two open positions. This also doesn’t include James Hurst, who has performed well at the guard position.
