Update 8/30/17 12:51 p.m.:

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the Ravens-Saints game will in fact be played as scheduled. His report was confirmed by a tweet from the New Orleans Saints official Twitter account.

Hurricane (now tropical storm) Harvey has caused immense damage in Texas and Louisiana, and the storm made a second landfall in Louisiana this morning. As a result of the storm, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, discussions are underway regarding whether or not the Ravens preseason finale will happen.

According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, the Ravens have only had one preseason game canceled in the team’s history. That occurred in 2001 due to turf issues. It appears that the Ravens in danger of having Thursday night’s game against the Saints become the second preseason game canceled.

However, a decision will have to be made rather quickly. Ryan Mink of the Ravens official website reports that the team’s flight to New Orleans is set to take off in less than two hours.

Obviously this is a developing story and there will be much more information to come. This post will be updated with new details as they come out, make sure to check back to Baltimore Beatdown.
