Ravens looking at free agent QB Aaron Murray

NFL: Preseason-Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Ravens looking at signing quarterback Aaron Murray.

Yesterday, the Kansas City Star reported that Murray had been hired to work as an announcer for CBS, calling college football games.

Murray has served as a backup quarterback on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He has never attempted a pass in his NFL career.

Murray was a college star at Georgia. Murray was a four year starter and threw for over 3,000 yards in all four seasons. His best year came in 2012 when Murray threw for 3,893 yards and 36 touchdowns.

Murray was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft. After his time in Kansas City, Murray has had short stints with the Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams.

Similar to David Olson and Josh Woodrum, if the Ravens pull Murray back into the NFL, he will be serving as a camp arm, with a very low shot at making the 53 man roster.
