After two straight games against dynamic offenses, the Ravens host the Bears in Week 6 ...
Bears’ notable additions: QB Mike Glennon, TE Dion Sims, S Quintin Demps, WR Markus Wheaton, CB Prince Amukamara, K Connor Barth, CB Marcus Cooper, WR Kendall Wright, LB Christian Jones, CB Johnthan Banks, DT John Jenkins, QB Mark Sanchez, LB Sam Acho
Bears’ key losses: QB Brian Hoyer, QB Jay Cutler, QB Matt Barkley, WR Alshon Jeffery, G Ted Larson, DE Cornelius Washington, TE Logan Paulson, WR Eddie Royal, CB Tracy Porter
Bears’ draft picks: QB Mitch Trubisky, TE Adam Shaheen, S Eddie Jackson, HB Tarik Cohen, G Jordan Morgan,
Why they'll lose to the Ravens:
The Bears were bad last season and the outlook doesn't seem to be much better this year. Chicago isn't returning a single QB that played significant snaps in 2016 and their star wide receiver, Alshon Jeffery signed a deal in Philadelphia. Factor in that the Bears traded a lot of draft capital for QB Mitch Trubisky, who many doubt, and you have a wild roster. The Bears do have young talent on offense - Jordan Howard, Cam Meredith and Kevin White, if he ever plays. Still, the Ravens are a veteran defense that can take away a weapon that an offense is heavily reliant on. The Ravens should be able to effectively lock down the Bears offense and score on a relatively young defense with their upgrade at wide receiver.
Why they'll beat the Ravens:
Mitch Trubisky could live up to his draft slot or Mike Glennon could prove he's worth that massive contract he signed, and the Bears’ skill position players could give the Ravens fits. Another possibility is this being a trap game. The Ravens could be coming off of two straight wins against two of the AFC’s elite teams and cough one up against an inferior opponent. I don't see a way the Bears win this unless the Ravens suffer some catastrophic injuries, but the phrase “Any given Sunday” applies week in and week out
