Ravens presser recap from Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh

Joe Flacco stepped to the podium for the first time since his injury.

The Baltimore Ravens have been hit hard once again by the injury parasite that continues to plague this football team. Losing Tavon Young, Dennis Pitta and Kenneth Dixon for the season before the start of training camp. Then, on the eve of the first practice, it was revealed that quarterback Joe Flacco had back soreness and reports speculate he could be out a week or much longer.

After practice, and in the wake of the non-stop train called Colin Kaepernick, Flacco came face-to-face with the media today. Below is some highlights of what the starting quarterback said to the press via the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec:

As it stands, Flacco isn't throwing, but hearing this from the man himself is good news and hopefully raises the possibility he will be back soon. The Ravens will need him back badly based off reports that the offense has been downright terrible so far in the first two days off practice. To make matters worse, the injury parasite struck again today as Crockett Gilmore suffered an apparent leg injury. Gilmore proceeded to spike his helmet after the injury, and the tight end core is getting depleted by the day.

Head coach John Harbaugh stepped up to the podium after Flacco, and gave updates on Gilmore and Kaepernick.

Who knows what will happen on the Kaepernick front. With the signing of Olson, that might make the chances of Kaepernick coming to Baltimore slimmer. Especially if Flacco is only going to be out for a week and not an extended amount of time.
