Daniel Jeremiah gives best case scenario for the 2017 Baltimore Ravens

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

NFL training camp is just around the corner, and as such, speculation is abound about how each team will fare in 2017. Mercifully, that prognostication will soon give way to the results that will bear out on the field, but until then, fans usually can’t get enough of what the experts think their team will achieve in the coming fall.

One of those experts is NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah, a former league scout who is one of the most respected names in the industry. Below, he gives a quick take on what he thinks the Ravens can accomplish in 2017:

Also known as “Move the Sticks,” Jeremiah spent several years with the Ravens scouting staff, when they were arguably at their height in the early 2000’s under Ozzie Newsome’s nascent run. As such, Jeremiah knows a thing or two about how Newsome builds his teams, and his opinions should be respected accordingly.

It doesn’t sound like he expects the Ravens to light the league on fire in 2017, but mentions 10 wins as a good possibility. For a squad that last made the postseason in 2014, this would be a nice return to form, and as DJ mentions, a 10 win Baltimore team has made serious noise in the playoffs before. Here’s to hoping that could happen yet again this season.
