It is Thursday, June 8, and #Maclinwatch2017 is at a fever pitch in Baltimore as free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin makes his way to the Owings Mills complex for a visit with the receiver needy Baltimore Ravens.
A team that has not picked up any receivers since the offseason began, both in free agency or the draft, they are now aggressively pursuing someone in the month of June. Like the Buffalo Bills, the team has players like Eric Weddle, Tony Jefferson, Mike Wallace and others trying to get Maclin in a Ravens uniform. Turns out they are not the only ones, as a former Raven has joined the party.
The now retired Steve Smith, who spent three years in Baltimore, posted this on his Twitter page earlier this morning:

This comes only a day after the former Ravens and Carolina Panthers wide receiver posted this on his Twitter as a message to Bills fans when Maclin left his Buffalo visit without a deal:
#maclin heading to Baltimore isn't a good sign for #billsfan pic.twitter.com/3zvMpgi7YC

You have to love Steve Smith. Even though he played the majority of his career in Carolina, and will probably go into the Hall of Fame as a Panther, he is a Baltimore Raven for life.
Stay locked on Baltimore Beatdown for any updates on Jeremy Maclin's visit to with the Ravens.
