The Baltimore Ravens were in desperate need of a wide receiver and for the first three months of the offseason, the team couldn't seem to find not even one. Even if a receiver fell in their lap with an opportunity to grab him, they still decided not to pull the trigger. Baltimore didn't land Alshon Jeffery and Terrelle Pryor in the first wave of free agency, and they passed on O.J. Howard, Ju-Ju Smith Schuster, and Cooper Kupp during the NFL Draft. Then, after three months of waiting, general manager Ozzie Newsome pulled the trigger.
The Kansas City Chiefs released Jeremy Maclin, and ten days later he is now a Baltimore Raven and a new weapon for quarterback Joe Flacco. A weapon he desperately needed. Off the heels of Maclin's signing, the new Raven posted this tweet to all Ravens fans, further confirming and silencing any doubt if he was indeed coming to Baltimore once and for all.

His new teammate Danny Woodhead also joined in on the welcoming party.
Welcome big dawg!

Players like Tony Jefferson, Eric Weddle, Mike Wallace and Brandon Boykin helped recruit Maclin over to Baltimore with teams like the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles which were also in pursuit of the then-free agent receiver. The Ravens do what they do when it comes to free agents, they close the deal. They did it once again with Jeremy Maclin.
Good to have you in Baltimore, Jeremy Maclin.
