Time to celebrate, as Ravens rookie Chris Wormley officially signs his deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

The new addition is an ‘Ozzie-esque’ selection. A defensive lineman in the third round, full of potential.
In fact, Chris Wormley’s selection at 74 was due to the Timmy Jernigan pick swap with Philadelphia.
Baltimore sent:
- Timmy Jernigan
- Pick #99 (CB Rasul Douglas)
Baltimore received:
- Pick #74, (Chris Wormley)
Fans were, and still are, worried if this trade really helped Baltimore. It won’t be known immediately.
Baltimore didn’t want to pay Timmy Jernigan; rather than let a player leave with nothing in return, the Ravens opened up much needed cap space for the future and also landed a better draft pick. This is automatically a great trade for the Ravens, but it’s up to Chris Wormley’s performance to prove the Ravens truly ‘won’ this trade in the upcoming years.
In the mean time, rather than complain or worry about the trade, let’s congratulate the new rookie on his first NFL contract!
