According to Schefter, the Ravens will receive the 99th overall selection (the 35th pick in the third round).
The Ravens received this pick as a result of losing Kelechi Osemele to the Oakland Raiders last offseason. Osemele would go on to be selected for the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl, as one of the key pieces in a dominant Raiders offensive line.
The 99th pick gives the Ravens four picks in the first three rounds. Thus, the Ravens have an extra chance to grab one of the higher end players in this year’s draft.
A possible selection for this pick could be Ethan Pocic, a center from LSU. Pocic is huge, and was excellent at the Senior Bowl. The former LSU Tiger would add a punch to the interior of the Ravens offensive line.
Ozzie Newsome must be overjoyed with having an extra pick in the early rounds, and Ravens fans should be too.
