Ravens vs. Bengals: 3 defensive keys to victory

Andy Dalton did not have a good game against the Ravens, Week 1 of the 2017 season. In fact, there was a very satisfying video of said game, produced from Brett Kollmann.

But that was 16 weeks ago. This is now, and the Ravens cannot rest on the laurels of Week 1.

1. Pressure

Andy Dalton, nay, every quarterback in the NFL, cannot win with linebackers and defensive linemen attacking point blank. So create this pressure, and force Dalton into a panic. When Dalton is without time, he forces throws, misses reads and makes critical mistakes. We’ve seen it before, and it’s time for Terrell Suggs and Matt Judon to lead the charge here against their foe.

2. Stop A.J. Green

He’s a terrifying man who becomes demi-god against the Ravens. Please don’t allow him to produce herculean stats. There is hope, though, as Marlon Humphrey can handle the challenge. Hopefully Pees let’s the man play some 1v1, and hopefully Humphrey can win it. Many speculate this is a big game for the rookie, and this could be a big turn of events.

3. Linebackers need help

The coverage in the middle of the field is lacking. The Ravens were victimized by the Jaguars and Steelers from tight end attacks, and if they haven’t figured a way to cover up this blemish, they could suffer defeat. Get creative if necessary, but figure a way to fix this ugly hole in centerfield.
