The Ravens have lost their star cornerback, most likely for the season. Jimmy Smith suffered a non-contact injury against the Detroit Lions, and couldn’t place weight on his left foot.
Jimmy has been on the injury report for weeks now with an Achilles injury.

The corner has led the league in lowest passer rating against, for PFF, for nearly the entire season. He had not allowed more than four catches to a single receiver all year.
It is unclear now how serious the injury is, though it is expected to be an Achilles tear.

Ravens announce it is an Achilles injury, and Smith is out for the game.
