Everybody is confident the Ravens can run these last two games to a wildcard spot, but the most confident of them all looks to be Vegas and betting odds. While I’m a believer in Baltimore, I didn’t think these numbers would be this high as the opening odds. The Ravens are HEAVILY favored to win their upcoming contest against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.
Bookmaker.eu places the Ravens as 13.5 point favorites, which I originally believed was a mistake. Yes, Indy is bad and Baltimore is good, but sheesh, that’s nearly two touchdowns greater.
Oddshark.com also places the Ravens in the same category, with a 13.0 point favorite.
Clearly Las Vegas is confident in the Ravens, and the MRI scheduled for tomorrow for Jeremy Maclin isn’t worrying the odds. In truth, this team has looked rather sharp without Maclin. His past four games have been rough, meanwhile the Ravens offense has done it’s best the past four weeks. Correlation or causation, though?
