Ravens vs. Browns will feature a great matchup in the run game

The Pittsburgh Steelers were down a vital player, as linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered a spinal injury two weeks ago. This allowed more room to run for Alex Collins, who produced 120 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns. But against the Cleveland Browns, the matchup won’t be a walk in the park.

Currently, the Browns are ranked sixth best in rushing defense. For comparison, the Ravens are ranked 13.

Cleveland is allowing only 3.3 yards per carry, and averaging 96 yards per game. This game will be a good test for the Ravens offensive line and the ballcarriers.

Collins is expected to receive the bulk of carries, after a great game against the Steelers, and with his numbers strong against his teammates. Most importantly, Alex is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, an impressive feat for the second-year tailback. According to PFF, he was the third-best runner this week, behind only two stars:

A good matchup against a tough defense, regardless of their offenses output, will help to test the mettle of this team after a tough defeat against their rival. If they can bounce back, it will be one step closer to the post-season.
