A great game on the ground, featuring multiple touchdowns by multiple tailbacks, but the high-scoring affair featured two sloppy defenses. PFF grades for the Ravens offense look exciting, while the defense leaves fans wondering, “This was a top ranked defense?”
Week 14 Ravens Offensive Stats:
HB Alex Collins was the fulcrum of the Ravens’ offensive success, posting an elite 88.6 game grade. He broke a season-high ten missed tackles, a single game figure only equaled by Le’Veon Bell. His 70.5 season elusive rating ranks him fourth among all running backs.
WR Chris Moore had his most efficient game of 2017 so far, recording a season best 80.4 game grade. He caught all three targets thrown his way for 48 yards, and forced two missed tackles.
Last three games, including tonight:

Jeremy Maclin: 7 catches, 55 yards
Chris Moore: 9 catches, 117 yards, TD
After a strong performance last week against the Lions, QB Joe Flacco had an evening of mixed results against the Steelers. When he held onto the ball for 2.6 seconds or longer, he completed five of nine passes along with an interception, with both his touchdowns coming on quick-strike plays. He was pressured on 41.7% of drop backs, a marked increase from the 27.4% across the season overall.
After allowing only one total pressure over the past two games, RT Austin Howard gave up four to the Steelers defense. The Ravens offensive line as a a whole allowed 12 total pressures, tied for 8th-most in Week 14.
Despite offering little as a receiver, TE Nick Boyle was dominant as a run blocker. He posted an elite 93.9 run blocking grade against the Steelers.
Week 14 Ravens Defensive Stats:
With star CB Jimmy Smith out for the season, rookie Marlon Humphrey is expected to shoulder the load for the remainder of the year and largely held his own against a talented Steelers offense while staying on the field for every defensive snap (a first for him this season). He was targeted 12 times, allowing six receptions for only 37 yards. Against Antonio Brown in particular, he gave up two receptions for seven yards on five targets.
OLB Terrell Suggs was yet again at the centre of the Baltimore pass rush, and fared well against a Steelers offensive line that ranks fifth in pass blocking efficiency (81.5) on the season. He recorded one sack and six hurries.
Nominally a run defender, DT Michael Pierce showed some chops as a pass rusher. He charted three hurries, as many as he managed over the previous five games combined.
LB CJ Mosley had a poor game overall, grading at 38.5. He particularly struggled in pass coverage, giving up 11 receptions on 15 targets for 119 yards, all season highs.
