Recently, Baltimore Beatdown and the entire Ravens fan base has felt doom and gloom. The offense has given so little, for so long, that the overwhelming success of the defense feels expendable. The defense has pitched three shutouts, yet the team feels like they’re tripping and falling into the postseason.
There I go again, posting negativity.
Now, this Ravens team is creeping closer towards a locked down wildcard.
According to numberFire, the Ravens are just below 75%.
A win against the Lions gives them a large leap, albeit I’m not certain just how much. But a big win at home against a skillful team can only exacerbate the percentages.
As of now, only the Patriots, Steelers and Jaguars have a higher percentage among AFC teams.
The remaining schedule leaves the Ravens brimming with confidence.
- vs. Detroit Lions
- @ Pittsburgh Steelers
- @ Cleveland Browns
- vs. Indianapolis Colts
- vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Both the Browns and Colts look like a quick hop, skip, and a jump. The Lions and Bengals are both good teams to not overestimate. The Steelers, well, they’re the current AFC North champions.
The schedule is manageable, and I believe the Ravens have a shot at the post-season. It’s up to them to clinch the berth.
