Baltimore is home to many restaurants, but none like the one that debuted on Wednesday. Gordon Ramsay Steak opened at Horseshoe Casino and was visited by none other than Gordon Ramsay himself.

"If there's one thing this country knows how to do properly, it's a great steak house," Ramsay said. "A great steak house, and a great burger. You've taught me well.”

For Ramsay, this is his second steak house and first on the East Coast. His other is in Las Vegas.

“It hasn’t got that big boisterous feel like Las Vegas, it’s intimate,” Ramsay said. “It’s in an amazing position and this city has a great football team. Now I’m given the chance to use the best of the best ingredients, whether it’s local … the most amazing bass or the crab. It is to die for. I’ve always said from a chef’s point of view, the better the ingredients, the little it needs done to it.”

Ramsay was introduced by Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh a 7 P.M. on Wednesday. While there, he was presented with custom uniforms by Baltimore Ravens Hall of Fame left tackle Jonathan Ogden and Orioles outfielder Trey Mancini.

Of course when coming to Baltimore, Ramsay had to see the sites. Ogden was the ambassador for the Ravens and took Ramsay on a tour of M&T Bank Stadium. The famous chef also got to try out his three-point stance on the field.
