Los Angeles Chargers present stiff competition for Ravens

The Los Angeles Chargers are now bearing down on the sixth wildcard spot, after a heartbreaking start to their season. Hopefully, for them, they seem to have fixed their placekicker issues and Keenan Allen has found his pre-injury form. Most are thinking of the Ravens as the frontrunner for the sixth wildcard spot, and while that may be true, the Chargers are the more complete team.

The Ravens do not have a Joey Bosa nor a Melvin Ingram. While the Ravens defense may be better as a whole, Los Angeles’ offense is miles ahead of Baltimore's.

The Chargers do have a history of coming up short, but even with that fact in mind, it is hard to ignore a team that seems to be finding their stride. The Ravens have a larger margin for error, being a game ahead but losing to AFC opponents could turn the tiebreaker arrow in Los Angeles’ favor.

The remaining teams on their schedule are comparable to the Ravens, with their toughest games coming against the Chiefs and the Raiders to compare to the Steelers and the Lions for Baltimore.
