Spread the field: Week 10

Let’s make some money

NFL: New England Patriots at Denver Broncos Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

We are are blazing hot! Back-to-back three win weeks. After a 1-4 start, in the last two weeks my picks are 6-3-1! Covering last week were the Rams -4, the Raiders -3 and the Lions -3. Here are my picks this week.

Last Week: 3-2

Season: 7-7-1

Let’s get into the Week 10 picks!

Steelers (-10) at Colts (+10)

By now, you guys likely know my rule, I typically don’t like to touch games with spreads this large, but the Colts are one injury away from being demoted to a Division II football team. Malik Hooker is done for the year, Vontae Davis is done for the year. Basically all that’s left of this team is T.Y. Hilton and Jacoby Brissett. The Steelers haven't done well on the road this year, but coming off of a bye, I like them to cover.

Steelers -10

Vikings (-1.5) at Redskins (+1.5)

The Redskins going into Seattle and knocking off the Seahawks may have you buying into the possibility of a home upset. Don’t buy it. The Redskins are dealing with injuries all around and the Vikings defense is making it’s case week-in and week-out that it’s the best unit in the NFL. Defensive end Everson Griffen is a legitimate Defensive Player of the Year candidate that will likely wreck havoc on the Washington offense and force Kirk Cousins into making a few silly turnovers (not that he needs much help).

Vikings -1.5

Chargers (+4.5) at Jaguars (-4.5)

The Jacksonville offense is playing efficiently and they've been without their best player, Leonard Fournette, for nearly a month between an injury, a bye and a suspension. He should be well rested as he returns to face a Chargers team that has been susceptible to big plays in the run game. Add in the fact that Phillip Rivers’ arm is dying before our eyes, I’ll take the Jaguars defense to make easy work of the Chargers.

Jaguars -4.5

Jets (-2.5) at Bucs (+2.5)

The Jets were originally thought to be tanking this year, but the resurgence of Josh McCown has made them competitive. On the flip side, Tampa Bay will be trotting out Ryan Fitzpatrick with Mike Evans suspended. I think that tells you all you need to know.

Jets -2.5

Patriots (-8) at Broncos (+8)

This line was originally Patriots -7.5, but has jumped because quite frankly, Brock Osweiler stinks and the people know it. After the Eagles laid 50-plus points on the Broncos, I would feel 100 percent confident picking against them going forward. Make some easy money and take the Patriots.
