The Ravens have drawn first blood on Thursday night, scoring a touchdown on the team’s second drive of the game.

On third down, not only did the Ravens throw the ball beyond the sticks, but Joe Flacco launched a deep throw into the end zone. Jeremy Maclin was streaking down the sideline, and made the catch in the end zone for a Ravens 34-yard touchdown.
This was a perfect throw by Flacco, as he fit the ball into a small window with two defenders in the area. This is the type of throw that we all know Flacco can make, but haven’t seen in make this year. This is also the type of aggressive play calling that we all have called for, but have yet to see be used, let alone executed.
The score and extra point put the Ravens up 7-0 in the first quarter, hopefully this will be a sign of good things to come.
