After all the speculation over the past 12 hours, news has broke on why the urgent press conference this morning. Zachary Orr is expected to retire.

After Ian Rapoport’s tweet Mike Garafolo tweeted more info on the matter.
Source said Orr was playing with a cracked bone in his shoulder late in the season. He missed Week 17 with what was termed a neck injury.

Heartbreaking news for the third-year linebacker. After leading the team in tackles and receiving Second Team All-Pro this season, Orr will be leaving the NFL.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports Zachary Orr is retiring due to a serious neck injury.
“But in a cruel development, Orr is now dealing with a congenital neck condition that will end his career, according to multiple sources.”
