Ravens with three of the Top 50 Free Agents in 2017

A surplus of talent for Ozzie to focus on this offseason

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

John Clayton recently released his top free agent rankings of 2017, and three Baltimore Ravens are in the list.

Coming in at number seven, the best run-stopping defensive tackle in the league, Brandon Williams.

After the completion of his rookie deal this season, the Missouri Southern State product earned the fat payday coming his way.

“He stops the run, and the Ravens have to stop him from leaving for a big-money deal in free agency.” - John Clayton, ESPN

It will be very difficult for the Ravens to hang on to Williams. If they do so, the Ravens won’t be left with much in the cap department, meaning the next two Ravens on the list won’t be coming back. A surplus of talent the Ravens have, Ozzie Newsome has his work cut out for him.

Another Raven lands in the top twenty, Ricky Wagner, at 19.

The right side of the line has produced well for multiple seasons now, due to the perennial All-Pro Marshal Yanda, and also, the great right tackle that is Wagner. Keeping Rick could keep the Ravens ahead of the game when it comes to the offensive line. With Stanley only improving, two stalwart tackles to build around is a luxury most franchises dream about.

Rounding out the list, Kyle Juszczyk, number 50.

Hard to say more about Kyle than what Clayton does with so few words.

“Juszczyk is the best fullback in the league, and the Ravens keep finding new ways to use him” - John Clayton, ESPN

Juice is becoming an offensive weapon capable of run-blocking, pass-blocking, rushing and receiving. His quality play provided Baltimore with fire, against New England and Pittsburgh he created dynamic plays the Ravens so desperately needed. This contract will become interesting in the coming months.
