ICYMI: Ravens RG Marshal Yanda will not play in 2017 Pro Bowl

The 10-year veteran won’t participate among the best in the NFL this year.

Baltimore Ravens right guard Marshal Yanda has decided not to play in the 2017 pro bowl due to a shoulder injury that has caused him to miss three games during the 2016 season. To put less of a load on his shoulder, the Ravens moved Yanda from right guard to left guard for the final seven games of the regular season. Yanda earlier this month as named on the Pro Football Focus all-first team as well as the Associated Press second team All-Pro.

Yanda, in his 10th season in the NFL (all with the Ravens) has stabilized himself as the second greatest offensive lineman in Ravens franchise history only behind none other than hall of fame left tackle Jonathan Ogden who might be the best offensive lineman in the history of the NFL. Yanda is on his way to the pro football hall of fame as well and one could argue that he is a first ballot caliber player.

In Yanda’s place in the 2017 pro bowl, Buffalo Bills guard Richie Incognito has been selected at guard.
