Even after a stellar preseason, the Baltimore Ravens are releasing WR Jeremy Butler.

Butler flashed extreme potential, from basic out-routes to a diving touchdown catch. Through four preseason games the wide receiver posted quite the statsheet:
16 catches, 160 yards, 2 TD
Jeremy Butler was not only a fan favorite, but many pundits had him landing on their final 53 man roster. He helped complete a two minute drive with Josh Johnson, catching four passes and topping the drive off with a touchdown. He is a bigger receiver that could throw a block.
After the confirmation from John Harbaugh of Devin Hester’s second workout and taken physical, it’s not silly to assume the Ravens cut Butler to make room for the kick return specialist.
