Justin Tucker drills field goal at the end of the first half

Justin Tucker increased the Ravens lead to 13-7 when he nailed a 42 yard field goal.

Tucker had missed a 57 yard field goal on the previous play, but an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the Jaguars Dante Fowler Jr. gave Tucker a second chance. The missed 57 yarder had the right line, but fell just short of the uprights.

A half cannot end on a defensive penalty, and the Ravens and the Jaguars are accustomed to such situations. When the two teams played last year, Elvis Dumervil got called for a penalty as the clock expired in the second half, giving Jacksonville a chance to kick a game winning field goal, which they made.

The Ravens defense will hope to keep the strong performance going, and hopefully Joe Flacco and the offense will continue to play well in the second half.
