Joe Flacco shows off his wheels

New, comment
NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Joe Flacco is not known for his running ability, but he showed what he can do early in the Ravens Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With the Ravens on the Jaguars seven yard line, Flacco took the snap, saw no receiver open, and scrambed out of the pocket. Flacco beat the Jaguars to the corner, and punched it in for the games first points.

Jamison Hensley noted on Twitter that this was the Ravens first rushing touchdown scored by a player not named Mike Wallace.

Also of note, Flacco now has more rushing touchdowns than the Seattle Seahawks. (Update: following Christine Michael’s two touchdown game against the 49ers, this is no longer correct)

The drive was keyed by two big receptions from Mike Wallace and Steve Smith Sr. respectively.
