Yesterday’s college football matchups featured multiple NFL caliber players, and the Ravens scouts attended two games.
Alabama at Ole Miss
Stop the presses, the Ravens are scouting possible Alabama talent? Never heard of such a thing before!
To not scout Bama products would be foolish, but this game has multiple players on both teams work a look.
Alabama:
- S Eddie Jackson
- TE O.J. Howard
- DL Jonathan Allen
The Ravens are quite stout at both tight end and defensive line, but you can never have enough tough guys warriors in the trenches. A young safety will be needed sooner rather than later with Baltimore’s squad only rising in age.
Ole Miss:
- QB Chad Kelly
- TE Evan Engram
- DE Marquis Haynes
Once more, the Ravens are stacked at tight end. A young pass rush talent is always something to focus upon.
Ohio State at Oklahoma
The Buckeyes are a team brimming with possible professional talent, and the Ravens attending this game is very important.
Ohio State:
- C Pat Elflein
- LB Raekwon McMillan
- QB J.T. Barrett
Though the Ravens have invested a first round in LB C.J. Mosley and a second round in LB Kamalei Correa, the ravens will still keep their eyes on Raekwon McMillan. He is a cornerstone to the Ohio State defense and will be relied upon heavily against the Oklahoma running backs.
Oklahoma:
- RB Samaje Perina
- RB Joe Mixon
- OT Orlando Brown Jr.
While the Ravens don’t need another runningback sitting on their roster at the moment, it doesn’t hurt to know the products now as opposed to later. Also, lineman don’t grow on trees and finding a fantastic tackle isn’t easy.
