Following the Ravens tight week 1 victory against the Buffalo Bills, the first opening victory in several years for the team, one of the positive aspects of the game was that no Raven left the game with a major injury. However, as the week has progressed, several players may be banged up as they missed practice on Wednesday.
Per Jamison Hensley, wide receiver Breshad Perriman missed practice along with starting center Jeremy Zuttah and star inside linebacker C.J. Mosley, all of whom played in week 1. Pass rusher Elvis Dumervil and rookie running back Kenneth Dixon also did not practice, and are unlikely to play in week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.
In addition, Za'Darius Smith was not present at practice, but the reason is unknown there too. The Ravens injury report should shed some light on the status of all of these players before the end of the day.
In better news, cornerback Jerraud Powers returned to practice today after missing last Sunday's game with an ankle injury.
