Finally, good injury news out of training camp. John Harbaugh said today that Steve Smith Sr., Terrell Suggs, Breshad Perriman and Elvis Dumervil are all going to be ready to go in Week 1 against the Bills.
The foursome were all listed on the Ravens original PUP list before training camp started.
It would seem unlikely that any of these four will play in the preseason. Harbaugh said that Suggs is the closest to a return and one can infer that would mean that he is the most likely candidate of the four to play in the preseason. Perriman, however, is the most in need of snaps in the preseason as he has never played an NFL game before in his career.
Smith Sr. and Suggs both suffered Achilles injuries last season. Dumervil underwent foot surgery in the offseaon, and Perriman received a stem cell injection for what originally looked like a torn ACL. However Dr. James Andrews determined he did not have a tear. The team has been holding him out as a precaution.
