Pro Football Focus has once again published a ranking containing a Baltimore Raven as today they ranked Ronnie Stanley as the NFL’s top graded rookie. (Correction: top rookie tackle, not top overall rookie)
Top graded rookies through two weeks of the preseason
— Pro Football Focus (@PFF) August 21, 2016
T: Ronnie Stanley, BLT
G: Joe Thuney, NE
C: Joey Hunt, SEA
FB: Chris Swain, SD
While the offensive line as a whole played great in the past two preseason contests, Stanley has been exceptional. There were multiple instances where Stanley was clearly seen opening up holes for running backs, and slowing down Colts pass rushers off the edge.
The learning curve has been quick for the sixth overall pick out of Notre Dame. He has been thrown into a starting role, and since then has produced great results. If Stanley continues to excel the Ravens could end up having one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, and as a result, have a huge impact on the Ravens rebound from last season.
