Right now, everyone who follows the Baltimore Ravens is more than ready to get the bad taste of the 2015 season out of their mouths. The Ravens suffered a losing record at 5-11 last season for the first time under head coach John Harbaugh. Nobody who follows this team wants to see that again.
So what went wrong for the Ravens in 2015?
The biggest issue the Ravens had last year were the amount of injuries. Starters/key players like QB Joe Flacco, OLB Terrell Suggs, WR Steve Smith Sr., RB Justin Forsett, LT Eugene Monroe, C Jeremy Zuttah, WR Breshad Perriman, and TE Crockett Gillmore among others had their seasons cut short.
The second biggest issue the Ravens had were the lack of turnovers on defense. The Ravens for example ranked dead last in the NFL in interceptions with six. Combine that with the fact that the Ravens secondary was allowing a huge chunk of passing yards (Notably 450 yards to QB Josh McCown) during the first eight weeks of the season which had the Ravens defense ranked near the bottom of the league at the time.
Right from the start, the Ravens started the season off 0-3 for the first time in franchise history and you won't find many teams in the history of the NFL climb out of that hole to make the playoffs regardless of health.
Now it is time for Ravens fans to voice their opinion on what they want to see going forward (Outside of a Super Bowl win). In the comment section below, post what exactly you want to see from the Ravens next season and we will post your thoughts this week.
