Baltimore Ravens sign fifth round pick Matt Judon; first Ravens rookie to sign

The Ravens have begun to sign their 2016 Draft Class

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Rookie DE Matt Judon has signed his four year, $2.596 million rookie contract.  This is the first member of the Ravens 2016 Draft Class to receive there rookie deal, but we should start to see more signings happen as we go through the summer.

Judon's deal comes with a signing bonus of $255,736 and it comes with a cap charge of $513,934. There really wasn't much drama to be had with rookie deals, as the rookie wage scale has all but eliminated the days of rookies holding out for more money.

The Ravens have made some more progress with making the rookies official members of the team, by giving Matt Judon his first contract. Soon, all of the rookies will be given their deals and numbers. Hopefully, those players will be wearing those numbers for a long time and the Ravens will be signing them to second and maybe even third deals.
