The Baltimore Ravens hosted Florida Gators cornerback Vernon Hargreaves according to NFL Network's Albert Breer via Twitter earlier this week. The Ravens know that selecting Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey would be tough as his stock has risen since the NFL Draft Combine in February and if the Ravens have to settle for Hargreaves, that wouldn't be a small feat as Hargreaves is still considered by some to be a better cover corner than Ramsey.
At 5-10 weighing 204 pounds, Hargreaves is a talented athlete with very nice techniques in coverage against wide receivers. Arguably his best attribute is his ability to play in just about every coverage whether it is playing in zone, off-man or press coverage which is something that the Ravens lacked severely during the 2015 season.
There were quite a few situations for the Ravens cornerbacks during the 2015 season where they would play 10 yards off the ball while the down and distance was third down and short or second down and short. Hargreaves has the potential to erase some of those problems for the Ravens.
