Mike Zimmer praises Baltimore Ravens Mike Wallace leadership and character

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

After a questionable season with the Minnesota Vikings in which Mike Wallace broke or tied season lows in catches, yards and touchdowns, Head Coach Mike Zimmer is still respectfully commented on his behalf.

Coach Zimmer cleared up any ill-will when discussing the released receiver stating, "It was more about the money than anything else."

A lot of focus has landed upon the ugly statistical season that was 2015-16 for Wallace on the Vikings, and Zimmer didn't harbor any disrespect saying, "Mike is a terrific kid. He's a great competitor. He's a good leader."

Obviously more was said during the owners meeting last week, including, "I think John Harbaugh and the guys over there are really going to like him as a person, as a competitor". Score for the good guys.

Wonderful news here that can put Ravens fans at ease. With the question-mark of Breshad Perriman, another known deep threat for Baltimore is necessary, and we all know with Ben Roethlisberger tossing deep passes Wallace became a true threat. Including veteran presence with skill and competitiveness these Ravens should look for a bounceback receiving season.
