Baltimore Ravens are looking at Los Angeles Rams Safety Rodney McLeod

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are looking to add more depth in the secondary as the organization is reportedly targeting Los Angeles Rams safety Rodney McLeod.

McLeod has local ties to the Maryland area as he was born in Clinton, Maryland and also went to college at the University of Virginia. McLeod was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and has been the Rams starter in each of the last three seasons accumulating 184 tackles, seven forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, five interceptions and one touchdown.

During the 2015 season, McLeod ranked ninth in the NFL in coverage according to Pro Football Focus. If McLeod does sign with the Ravens, he would most likely play the role of free safety which is where he spent most of his time with the Rams on defense.

If McLeod can build upon his 2015 season, he could turn out to be one of the better under the radar signings of the entire NFL offseason.
