Baltimore Ravens get started with Exclusive Rights Free Agents

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens made some noteworthy news before start of free agency as they slap exclusive rights free agent tenders on some young players.

Players who received ERFA tenders:

RB Terrance West

Runningback Terrance West received the tender as he showed some promise in the late stages of the 2015 season when starting runningback Justin Forsett was sent to injured reserve with a broken arm. West has shown that he can be a team player as he has been criticized for doing the opposite in his short stints with the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans since being drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. If he continues to improve, the Ravens have a gem.

WR Daniel Brown

Wide receiver Daniel Brown received his tender and he is well known for the horrible call made by the refs in week 14 in the Ravens 15-13 loss against the Miami Dolphins. Brown had a perfect touchdown pass from Matt Schaub called back due to an offensive pass interference penalty that never happened. That was basically the deciding factor in the game and it cost the Ravens a win.

CB Sheldon Price

Cornerback Sheldon Price received a tender from the Ravens. Price has been in the NFL three seasons but has only played in two games and both of which were with the Indianapolis Colts during the start of the 2015 season. Price will get an opportunity to help in a secondary during the offseason where the Ravens are looking to build as much depth as possible.

CB Jumal Rolle

Cornerback Jumal Rolle has played two seasons in the NFL and entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013 out of Catawba College. Rolle has been on multiple practice squads including the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans.

During the 2014 season with the Texans, Rolle recorded three interceptions, and 19 tackles. Rolle was signed by the Ravens late during the 2015 season and registered one tackle for the Ravens in week 15.
