In the middle of March through the end of the month, we will take a quick look at some of the key players for the Baltimore Ravens entering the 2016 season from where each key player stands in terms of the Ravens depth chart.
Crockett Gillmore
Before Gillmore was sent to injured reserve dealing with shoulder injuries, he was developing into one of the better tight ends in the league. In 10 games, Gillmore had 33 receptions for 412 yards and four touchdowns. Those stats don't tell all of the story as Gillmore has proven to be a very hard player to bring down. He has literally dragged defenders with him for extra yards. He will only get better from here.
One would have to believe that Gillmore is the favorite to hold the number one spot on the tight end depth chart based on his performance last season before he was sent to IR. That isn't to say that the Ravens lack talent at tight end ------ That certainly isn't the case---- but Gillmore has earned the right to be given the starting position if granted.
Gillmore is expected to be ready to play in week one of the 2016 season.
