The Baltimore Ravens were rumored to have agreed to a contract with free agent running back Trent Richardson a few days before free agency began, eliciting surprise, comedy, but in most cases indifference. With the Ravens already possessing a full stable of running backs with Javorius Allen, Justin Forsett, Lorenzo Taliaferro, and Terrence West, the signing only moved the needle at all because of name recognition. And even with that, it barely moved the needle.
As it turns out, that contract, which was said to be pending a physical, was never finalized:
HC John Harbaugh said the team has an unofficial agreement with RB Trent Richardson.

The physical must have shown some concerns for the Ravens, and it most have had at least a minimal amount of guaranteed money in it if the Ravens felt a need to wait to make it official until he meets their criteria:
Basically Ravens want Richardson to get in better shape and hit a physical benchmark. When/if he does, Ravens will sign him.

So the world will just have to wait a little longer before Richardson officially joins his fourth team.
