Former Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker Daryl Smith, who played with the team between the 2013-2015, was released by the Ravens earlier this month for salary cap reasons and as a result he visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another opportunity and signed.

Smith is very familiar with the southeast section of the United States as he spent his college days with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and nine years to start his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Signing with the Buccaneers could very well prove to be a good fit for Smith.
Smith led the Ravens in tackles with 121 during the 2015 season at the age of 33. His veteran experience and leadership in a locker room will be useful for a young Buccaneers team looking to take the next step led by quarterback Jameis Winston.
