AFC NORTH:
Baltimore Ravens - Resigned cornerback Shareece Wright and long snapper Morgan Cox. Lost offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele and backup QB Matt Schaub. Brought in tight end Ben Watson and are expected to lose linebacker Courtney Upshaw.
Pittsburgh Steelers - Came to terms with their own free agents, cornerback William Gay, offensive guard Ramon Foster, wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey and safety Robert Golden. Bringing in tight end Ladarius Green, who could be a potent weapon in their passing attack.
Cincinnati Bengals - Locked up safety George Iloka and cornerback Adam Jones. Lost #2 wide receiver Marcin Jones.
Cleveland Browns - Perhaps the biggest losers in the early part of the free agency, the Browns lost many of their best players including center Alex Mack, offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz, safety Tashaun Gipson and wide receiver Travis Benjamin. These departures were not due to salary cap limitations, the Browns have more than $40 million in cap space.
AFC EAST:
New England Patriots - Quiet day in Foxboro with the addition of linebacker Ramon Humber the only transaction.
New York Jets - Added running back Matt Forte to replace the departed Chris Ivory. Also lost underrated nose guard Damon Harrison.
Buffalo Bills - Retained their two best offensive lineman, Cordy Glenn and Richie Incognito. Took some losses on defense, including cornerback Leodis McKelvin, end Mario Williams, linebacker Nigel Bradham and corner Ron Brooks.
Miami Dolphins - Poached defensive end Mario Williams from the Bills and safety Isa Abdul-Quddus. Lost running back Lamar Miller and impactful pass rusher Olivier Vernon. Traded for cornerback Byron Maxwell and linebacker Kiko Alonso.
AFC SOUTH:
Houston Texans - Make some bold moves on offense, signing quarterback Brock Osweiler and running back Lamar Miller. Lost some players from their offensive line, namely guard Brandon Brooks and center Ben Jones but replaced them with guard Jeff Allen .
Indianapolis Colts - Choose to resign versatile tight end Dwayne Allen over the now departed tight end Coby Fleener. Also resigned kicker Adam Vinatieri but said goodbye to safety Dwight Lowery.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Landed the biggest prize of free agency by handing a mega contract to defensive end Malik Jackson. Also brought in safety Tashaun Gipson and power running back Chris Ivory. Retained tight end Marcedes Lewis.
Tennessee Titans - Relatively quiet for a team sitting on serious cap space. They traded for running back DeMarco Murray, brought in backup quarterback Matt Cassel and center Ben Jones while subtracting quality veteran safety Michael Griffin.
AFC WEST:
Denver Broncos - Bolstered their needy OL with tackle Donald Stephenson, but lost some very important pieces. Malik Jackson, linebacker Danny Trevathan and projected starting quarterback Brock Osweiler all fled for larger paydays.
Kansas City Chiefs - Upgraded their offensive line by bringing in Mitchell Schwartz to replace Stephenson. Retained the core of their defense by resigning pass rusher Tamba Hali and inside linebacker Derrick Johnson. Lost backup quarterback Chase Daniel and journeyman safety Tyvon Branch.
Oakland Raiders - Perhaps the biggest winners of free agency so far brought in left tackle Kelechi Osemele to line up next to homegrown guard Gabe Jackson and pass rusher Bruce Irvin across from star Khalil Mack. They are building a formidable roster.
San Diego Chargers - Have been active, highlighted by the acquisition of speedy wide receiver Travis Benjamin and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane. Also brought in safety Dwight Lowery while keeping the services of Antonio Gates and solid offensive tackle Joe Barksdale.
NFC NORTH:
Green Bay Packers - As usual, the steady franchise has not dipped into the early free agency market.
Minnesota Vikings - Made some quality under the radar signing including offensive guard Alex Boone and safety Michael Griffin. Also resigned safety Andrew Sendejo, defensive tackle Kendrick Ellis and guard Michael Harris.
Chicago Bears - Picked up offensive tackle Bobbie Massie and made a big move with the signing of inside linebacker Danny Trevathan. Resigned corner Tracey Porter and running back Jacquizz Rodgers to help offset the loss of Matt Forte.
Detroit Lions - Signed receiver Marvin Jones to fill Calvin Johnson's big cleats. Kept the defensive line intact by resigning Haloti Ngata and tackle Tyrunn Walker. Lost safety Abdul-Quddus.
NFC EAST:
New York Giants - Made some big splashes on defense by resigning corner Janoris Jenkins, pass rusher Olivier Vernon and tackle Damon Harrison in addition to resigning end Jason Pierre-Paul.
Washington Redksins - Resigned backup quarterback Colt McCoy, defensive end Kedric Golston and linebacker Mason Foster.
Dallas Cowboys - Uncharacteristically quiet, only resigning linebacker Rolando McClain. Lost backup Matt Cassel.
Philadelphia Eagles - Undoing the damage that Chip Kelly did by trading away DeMarco Murray, cornerback Byron Maxwell and linebacker Kiko Alonso. Signed cornerback Leodis McKelvin, linebacker Nigel Bradham, guard Brandon Brooks, corner Ron Brooks. Might have created new problems by signing quarterback Chase Daniel and safety Rodney McLeod to rich contracts.
NFC SOUTH:
Carolina Panthers - Resting on their laurels so far with the resigning of end Charles Johnson and fullback Mike Tolbert.
Atlanta Falcons - Made a big move by signing top center Alex Mack. Also inked breakout end Derrick Shelby. Gave Matt Schaub yet another chance.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Retained breakout running back Doug Martin. Brought in guard J.R. Sweezy.
New Orleans Saints - Replaced Ben Watson and Michael Hoomanawauni with tight end Cody Fleener.
NFC WEST:
Seattle Seahawks - Resigned defensive tackle Athyba Rubin and corner Jeremy Lane but lost Brandon Mebane, Bruce Irvin and Sweezy.
Arizona Cardinals - Resigned Drew Stanton, brought in Tyvon Branch, lost Bobby Massie.
Los Angeles Rams - Losing Janoris Jenkins and Rodney McLeod hurts their secondary. They did resign improving end William Hayes along with linebacker Mark Barron and receiver Brian Quick.
San Francisco 49ers - Brought in former Eagles QB Thad Lewis, lost guard Alex Boone, resigned quality nose guard Ian Williams.
