Today's edition of throwback Thursday features the Baltimore Ravens rallying from a 17 point deficit in incredible fashion to defeat the Seattle Seahawks 44-41 at home in overtime and a win that was critical in the Ravens earning their first division title in franchise history by clinching the AFC North with a 10-6 record in 2003.
This game between Ravens and the Seahawks was the beginning of a three game home stand for the Ravens where the would host the Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals consecutively. The Ravens during that home stretch averaged 39.6 points a game.
This game however against the Seahawks was a critical one from the standpoint that the Ravens were on a two game losing streak where the offense went eight straight quarters without scoring a touchdown. After trailing 17-3 to the Seahawks, the Ravens finally woke up and a lot of that had to do with an Ed Reed punt block returned for a touchdown himself.
The rest is history.
Enjoy the game!
