Practice at the Under Armour Performance Center in Baltimore, Maryland was nothing out of the ordinary but there was one surprise on the field today and that was Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Alex Lewis returning to practice.
Lewis suffered an ankle injury against the Cleveland Browns about a month ago and was expected that Lewis would miss close to six weeks due to the injury. He was a limited participant in practice today and it is still unlikely that he will be ready to play against the New England Patriots on Monday.
While Ravens veterans in Terrell Suggs and Jeremy Zuttah had the day off due to rest, tight end Crockett Gillmore and running back Lorenzo Taliaferro missed practice again as both are trying to heal through own thigh injuries.
Ravens offensive lineman Marshal Yanda was a full participant in practice as he continues to work through a shoulder injury that has bothered him for most of the season. Expect Yanda to stay at left guard to put less pressure on his shoulder.
On the Patriots side, wide receiver Danny Amendola did not practice as he has an ankle injury that will most likely keep him out for the rest of the regular season. He may however return in time for the playoffs.
At tight end with Rob Gronkowski already put on injured reserve, Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett is dealing with both a shoulder and ankle injury and was a limited participant in practice today.
