In unsurprising news to Ravens fans, linebacker C.J. Mosley lands as a top performer in Week 15, according to PFF.
4. Clint Mosley, LB, Baltimore Ravens
Mosley put together one of the more complete linebacker performances you will ever see in the win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Mosley graded well against both the run and pass, and recorded 10 solo tackles, two hits on the blitz and allowed a total of 27 yards in coverage on five targets, limiting TE Zach Ertz in particular in the passing game when the two were matched up.
Both Mosley and Zach Orr played a great game, and when Orr became injured C.J. shifted into yet another gear and helped keep the Eagles from the endzone on multiple lengthy drives.
Something not talked about enough lately, Mosley’s growth in pass coverage. Against Pittsburgh a couple seasons ago Mosley and Le’Veon Bell went head-to-head in the passing game, Bell won almost every time. This season is a different story; Mosley is blanketing tight ends and making open field tackles on tailbacks. The weak part of Mosley’s game is now on par with upper level talent. Mosley’s always played the run and pass rush well; now, he can wildcard anywhere.
